Trade Minister Amos Kimunya appeared before parliament's departmental committee on finance to give information surrounding the closure of charterhouse bank during his time as the minister for finance. Kimunya said he was compelled to place the bank under statutory management following the tabling of documents that raised questions about the operations of the bank by the then Mandera Central MP Billow Kerrow.
