"A United Nation's Environmental Program report that valued the compensation for people with title deeds in the Mau at approximately 2 billion Shillings has caused an uproar. The Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission Advisory Board member Billow Kerrow echoed sentiments of a section of civil society who say compensating political bigwigs who acquired land illegally was tantamount to rewarding instead of punishing graft.
